Vignerons par passion

“ We became winegrowers out of passion,

out of love for the vines, out of a desire to live and work in harmony and complicity with this generous nature that, vintage after vintage, gives us the best of itself.”

Delphine

13th generation

I was born in Nogent l'Abbesse where my ancestors have been winegrowers since the mid-17th century. I represent the 13th generation to work the vines in the same place. It is an enormous responsibility!

Born in 1983, I've been curious about nature, plants and living things from an early age. That's why I decided to train as an agricultural engineer at AgroParisTech, then specialize in viticulture and oenology at the Institut Agro Montpellier.

After some winemaking abroad, and before taking over the family estate, I built up a solid professional experience of over 12 years in the Champagne industry: at Bollinger, the Comité Champagne and Veuve Clicquot.

Pierre-Emmanuel

a Burgundian in Champagne

Born in Dijon in 1979, I've always loved wine and the Burgundy landscapes. My paternal grandparents owned a few acres of vines above Nuits-Saint-Georges, and my parents always found an opportunity to open some good bottles!

When I met Delphine in 2011, I was working in finance in Paris and was a member of a wine-tasting club. I wanted to get back to a life closer to nature. So I made the radical decision to change jobs and become a winegrower. In Avize, I trained for 2 years in viticulture and winemaking.

“ Who hasn't dreamed,

one day, of living among the vines, drinking and sharing the fruit of their harvest? We've made that dream come true, hand in hand.”

Back to our roots

a matter of course

Pierre-Emmanuel and I moved to Nogent l'Abbesse in 2016. We live on the family estate, handed down from generation to generation and rebuilt after World War I by my great-great-grandfather, Auguste.

My great-grandfather Gaston's wines won several awards, including the Gold Medal at the 1931 Champagne Wine Exhibition in Epernay.

My grandfather Roger also owned his own wine press. He worked his vines and raised dairy cows. He loved progress: he had the village's first telephone and television. The house soon became a meeting place for neighbors!

Family saga

As soon as they were married, my parents Daniel and Agnès expanded by building a 120 m2 cellar. I grew up in this world of vineyard work, punctuated by the seasons and the harvest festival.

In turn, Pierre-Emmanuel and I continue to develop and care for  the estate. We're very happy to have embarked on this winegrowing adventure together!

“ Everything here speaks to me,

the beauty and colors of the landscape, the vineyards where I accompanied my father and grandfather as a little girl. It was on this land of my ancestors that I decided that my children should grow up in turn.

Our planet

day-to-day

We live surrounded by our vines. They are our children's playground, and we take care of them as we would our own garden. The terroir of Nogent l'Abbesse is our planet, our heritage. It's a masterpiece of nature that we protect every day.

“ Feet on the ground,

head in the stars.”
